Todays been a sweet day spent taking my first steps again after being on crutches for 5 1/2 weeks which was followed up by a two hour session printing at Spectrum. I managed to get my exhibition prints together with the help of the master printing service with a really sound guy called Andy. I am almost ready for the Brighton Photography Graduate Show 2012, its finally starting to feel like I will finish my degree only 3 weeks behind everyone else.
So today I stumbled upon my profile for the Brighton University, ‘UP and Beyond’ Graduate Show 2012.
Although It currently features the work from my minor project and not the work that I will be exhibiting, I am still well chuffed to see it up there! I am really looking forward to finishing off my preparation for the exhibition and the finishing of my Major project in the next few weeks.
So its been a hectic couple of busy weeks … well I say hectic, as a hectic as snapping your leg in half and being a bed bound chap can be! After having a tutorial on Thursday with my Uni lecturer, it now looks like I’m going to be back in Bristol shooting the last of my Major project. I had planned to change the direction of this project due to my Op and lacking of any walking ability … but I am now looking set to be shooting from a wheel chair!
110% chuffed to be finishing off this project, should definitely be an experience to say the least!!
Working on my dissertation this week has been utterly painful to say the least, but as a result I do feel like one giant walking brain. ew. BUT to see myself on the Another Escape website brought some happiness into my life again!
The new issue has also just been released, so check out my interview in that if you like.
The magazine seems to be getting popular very quickly, so it’s great to be a part of it at this early stage. The second edition of Another Escape, full of adventures, inspiration and talented creatives.
Check out Niall Grants fantastic work in a recent feature on both mine and creative partner Rachel Taylor’s latest project, Another Escape.

I recently put together a zine featuring students work from my course at Brighton University to raise funds for our degree show in June. 36 page full colour printed on off white recycled stock, featuring the work of 33 artists. It’s available to buy here. Do us a favour and pick one up! Any re-blogs would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone would be kind enough to buy one of these zines you would be helping us out greatly! / reblog, yo
So I’ve managed to wreck myself again, this time it’s a snapped Tibia, fractured Fibula and ankle.
It’s gonna be a few months before I can walk again. I’m pretty glad that I’ve not got an above the knee cast, and instead have a large plate and 11screws … means that my joints won’t seize up and that I can start physio in 2 weeks time!
Shame about the timing, with less than a month before my Major Project is due.
The final images I shot for Brighton based band, If Heroes Should Fail’s latest E.P. First Light.
The guys wanted the E.P. imagery to incorporate their logo, which we found in vocalist Sean Mahon’s hometown of Penarth. It really was a pleasure to work with these guys again, having previously shot their promotional images last year. Their passion is greatly extended beyond their music, as the concept of their E.P. First Light demonstrates. The band specifically asked for images which would incorporate / feature their logo. Coincidently the location we found for the shoot was Penarth Pier, which is the town that inspired much of the song writing.
Check them out if you haven’t before top lads!
These guys really do a great job!!!
